5 Easy Steps

AT Architectural Services aim to make the design and build process of your new domestic extension in Essex or Hertfordshire as straight forward and transparent as possible. Following our five easy steps to our services, gives you a clear guide to what to expect when you instruct us.

1. FREE Initial Property Assessment

We will visit your home and discuss you vision with you. We’ll advise you on the best use of light and space, and offer you our own thoughts on how best to extend your existing space. We use innovative and original design ideas to ensure you get the very best out of your new addition.

2. Design Proposal

We will supply you with initial designs for your project as well as outline plans and a cost estimate to allow you to budget for the proposed work. We will also undertake a preliminary planning assessment.

3. Statutory Consents

The most time consuming part of the process can be the submission of planning and building regulation applications to your local authority planning department, we can deal with these on your behalf.

4. Contract Management

Should you instruct us to manage the contract for you we will obtain competitive building quotes, agree a building programme including a start and end date. We will also arrange a pre-start meeting to agree programme dates.

5. Design and Build Team Co-Ordination

Not only will we assist with all of the above, but we can also act as team leader for the entire project should you require us to. This includes liaison with structural engineers, surveyors and any other building professionals. We will be there for every step of the programme of work and will manage the project from initial meeting through to completion.
